46 years ago, the Securex Family came into being under the guidance of Mr. K. L. Sahni after he retired from the Police. Established as a private security investigations firm; we operated from a tiny office on Moi Avenue in the heart of Nairobi’s Central Business District. Mr. Sahni only had two employees to count on; and would often drive them to assignments himself.
In 1991, Mr. Sahni’s son, Tony Sahni, took over as Managing Director. A robust Research and Development strategy saw Securex pioneer a raft of technological security solutions previously unseen in the country. 20 years ago, we branched out and established the Securex Uganda Family, which has continued to go from strength to strength. 20 years ago, we also moved offices from Moi Avenue in Nairobi to the Securex Place in Parklands.
We established operations in Mombasa in 2009, and in 2014 the Securex Tanzania Family was born. 46 years ago we had two employees, today we employ over 6,000 spread across four branches in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with operations in the entire East African region.
